I am excited to be a Guest Designer at The Color Hues Challenge #TCH30 this week using silver and gold! These fun and festive colors really got me into the holiday spirit! Here is my glittery, shiny shaker card...say that 5 times fast!
I cut two sizes of circle dies at the same time (one inside the other) to make my rings, cutting some in gold glitter paper and the others in silver cardstock. I cut a piece of Stampin' Up! gold striped vellum into a 6" x 6" square to fit my white card base of the same size and adhered it to the card using glue dots behind the stripes (and eventually behind the rings). I made a shaker out of the center gold circle and put some SU! (older) silver, black and white sequins in it. The gold circles are popped up on foam tape and the silver ones are glued down flush with the card. I cut a silver Peace die (not sure who makes it) and glued it on top of the shaker, then scattered a few more sequins on the card.
My card design was inspired by this Waffle Flower beauty by Rachel Arribas. I just love the colors she used on her very cool card!
I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with for this fun holiday-inspired color theme! Thanks for having me as a guest!!
