Water You Up To?

It is time for the monthly CASE It Instagram Hop where a group of friends Copy And Selectively Edit someone's card that we love. I asked Kailash @kailashcrafts if she would allow me to CASE her colorful summery birthday card and she sweetly agreed. I love the angled main stenciled piece she made for her card, with the elements in the corner and up into the stenciling. Here is how I CASEd her wonderful card:

And here is her card! Aren't her colors so pretty? I love the layout of her elements, too.

I took her idea of the stenciled panel in blue and aqua. Instead of yellow, I added pink and orange elements. My sentiment is also where hers is below that panel. I created a pool with stenciled waves and raised the edge by die cutting three rectangle frames and adhering them to each other. I put them on top of the pool, then added the umbrella and swimmer, who ditched her inner tube to float freely...something I don't do well in the water. I die cut three inner tubes to make it look like it is above the surface of the water while she is flat on the water. The umbrella is raised as well on foam tape.

What I used:

  • Sugar Pea Designs Wave stencil
  • Simply Graphic Swimmer and Pool tube
  • Waffle Flower Beach Umbrella Die-n-Stencil set, Nesting Rectangle Frames die
  • Simon Says Stamp Sea You Soon stamp set
  • Altenew Obsidian black ink pad
  • Ranger Distress ink pad
  • Stampin' Up! Classic ink pads
  • Pink and Main enamel dot
  • Park Lane patterned paper

We hope you will hop along with us for some fun inspiration. You can start at my Instagram account @sawithadtomakeit and go from there.
