I must be in bright colors mode lately, but here is a card inspired by the Paper Players Color Challenge: PP790 using colors similar to the three on the left side of their graphic. Christy said "bold and bright" and I was up for it! This is the maiden voyage for me of these Concord & 9th stencils and stamps. I also added stenciling and texture for fun! More coming soon with these products.
- Concord & 9th Filled with Joy stencil pack, stamps and dies, mini ink pad
- Sugar Pea Designs Card Front Element Builder die
- Ranger Distress Oxide ink pad
- Catherine Pooler Queen for a Day Ink pad
- Hero Arts Graphic Patterns Stencil Pairs
- Stampin' Up! Decorative Dots embossing folder
I decided to make a top folding, curvy edge front flap card base. I ended up using another die from the same set on the inside dotted embossing strip, too. I stenciled the purple flap for a subtle pattern and added the dotted strip to the bottom inside/outside of the card.
Stenciling the flower, its center, and the stem/leaf was quick and easy. These three pieces have their own dies. I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and fussy cut around it. The sentiment and flower are popped up on foam tape while the flower center and stem/leaf are adhered flat.
I like that when someone opens the card it is a surprise to open it upward with the sentiment being both inside and outside. I really like the color choices offered and am happy with the three I chose.
Thanks for stopping in,
Carol
