I am working on some summer cards lately and for our Just Us Girls Challenge #816: Anything Goes Stencil I have a tropical leaves card. I used with a leftover piece of cardstock from recent die cutting that I saved to use as a stencil. Check out the cards we have for you and play along with us! This is our guest Milla's last week as our guest designer and her cards have added a lot to the challenges.
What I used:
- MFT Wild Greenery dies
- Ranger Distress Oxide ink pads
- Versamark watermark ink pad
- SU! Gold embossing powder
- Simon Says Stamp Summer Sentiment
- Foam tape
I ink blended three colors of distress oxide ink on a small piece of white cardstock. Then I pounced all over my "stencil" with the watermark ink pad on the ink blended panel. I heat embossed the panel with gold powder to get the look of gold foil. I die cut a couple of tropical leaves and added them with the sentiment to the card.
What will you stencil for our challenge this week?
Thanks for stopping in!
Carol

Carol: clever to use the die cut piece as a stencil. The gold embossed leaves and lovely ink blended background creates a delightful tropical flair. Gorgeous card!

ReplyDeleteYour homemade stencil looks amazing with the gold embossed leaves! The ink blended background looks beautiful and was the perfect choice for your beautiful leaves.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa and Sue!
ReplyDeleteYou must have a larger Wild Greenery set that I do, Carol. The leaves look fantastic in gold on your beautiful ink blended background.
ReplyDeleteClever you Carol forward thinking saving that multiple leaf die cut for a stencil and worked out perfectly. Nice tropical background and the pink one - my first thought was - could it be a surf board.
