A message in a bottle is something you might find one day on the beach. I recently saw a video (which could have been staged) of a bottle being opened on the beach that had a paper inside. As a child I was fascinated by the model ships that were inside a bottle, wondering how they were built...could the bottle have been blown around the ship? Check out what I found today here! What an incredible art!
Our Just Us Girls Challenge #780 is a beautiful moodboard chosen by Vicki. I went with the sea and the colors under, in and around it in the photo. Be sure to check out all of the team's cards, as well as that of our guest Joanne, for all the details on their wonderful cards.
Everything I used to make the card is Spellbinders except the sailboat which I think is My Favorite Things from long ago. Oh, the sticky backed cork is from Canvas Home Basics and I have had it forever, using small pieces here and there.
Thanks so much for stopping by and we look forward to seeing you in our gallery!

I'm absolutely smitten with your oh-so-creative take on the mood board. I, too, find messages/ships in bottles fascinating - and how cool that you translated said fascination into this fantastic, eye-catching mood board inspired card. So clever!

I love that you took the colors of the mood board and turned them into this little work of art! That cork is perfect. What a fantastic card, Carol!
ReplyDeleteAwesome use of the fun dies!
ReplyDeleteCarol! This card is absolutely FANTASTIC, and what a wonderful take on the photo. You certainly went way outside the box with one. I absolutely LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your ship in a bottle was much easier to do than that gentleman in the video, Carol. Your scene is wonderful with all the fun details.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is stunning! Love your ship in the bottle, and how it still opens, on that red background. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteA sailboat in a bottle - how fun! Your nautical delight looks fab against the red base too - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! The red background really screams nautical and make the bottle pop...love it!
ReplyDeleteBeauty in a bottle, Carol! I just love your interpretation of that beautiful piece of art!

I love your beach in the bottle, Carol! Wouldn't it be great if we could just unstop the bottle and get a breath of salt air! I love red poppies, but beach wins out anytime!
ReplyDeleteI so love your take on that beautiful mood board and made it your own with such creativity and colour Carol.
